Prerequisites
Students should be comfortable with abstract mathematical reasoning and have completed a proof-oriented undergraduate course in discrete mathematics, combinatorics, or graph theory.
Objectives
The n-dimensional hypercube is a central object in discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science. It can be viewed as a graph, a partially ordered set, a polytope, or a Cayley graph, and these perspectives lead to rich structural and algorithmic questions. This is a theoretical and proof-oriented mathematics course. Its primary focus is the combinatorial structure of the hypercubes.
Programme to be Followed

Course dates at TUW: Monday 16/11 to Friday 20/11.

Course content:

- Definitions, characterisation, basic properties

- Symmetries and automorphisms of the hypercube

- Gray codes, paths, and cycles in the hypercubes

- Matchings and selected decomposition results
